Hello! Welcome to my Website!

I am very excited to anounce that I have finally released my debut CD as a band leader. It features tunes composed by drummers Tito Puente, Bobby Sanabria, Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Francisco Aquabella, Art Blakey, Armando Peraza, Ray Barretto and Chano Pozo. With fresh arrangements by pianist Christian Tumalan and bassist Saul Sierra that feature some of the best percussionist in the Bay Area: Carlos Caro, Sandy Perez, Patricio Angulo, Colin Douglas, John Ulloa and myself.

I will once again be performing the Guira at SF CARNAVAL with NYC Bachata artists Frankely and Bautista. The times of the sets are TBA but the gig is THIS  Saturday (May 24th)  in the afternoon for sure. The band will include Carne Cruda's Camilo Landau on guitar and Ted Strong on bongo along with grammy nominated producer Greg Landau on guitar as well as others.

Thanks to all who came out and saw The Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel make our debut at Jazz at Pearls nightclub in the infamous North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco on Thursday May 15. Brian Andres performs with guitarist Mike Stern!
On Wednesday Dec 19th Brian had the privilege of performing with legendary guitarist Mike Stern. In town to perform at the newly opened jazz club Yoshi's in San Francisco with his quartet, Mike Stern took the time to hold a clinic at B Street Music in San Mateo, sponsored by Yamaha Musical instruments. Along with bassist Jeff Chambers, Brian performed with Mike during the clinic.

On Saturday Dec 15, Brian Andres The Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel, performed for their Cd release party for Drummers Speak at La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley.
